– Developed art exhibition art platform program “I Have Art in Me”
– Preparing for a special exhibition as an in-house gallery for a bio company in early 2021
The word “art gallery” often reminds people of places like Insa-dong, Sinsa-dong, and Cheongdam-dong. In fact, these regions have been the center places for many art galleries. So far, art gallery has the offline venue where people encounter artworks, along with museums and exhibition halls. “Art is something that we can easily ‘encounter’ and ‘be together with’ wherever we are, and the space for this is the art gallery,” said May Kim, the CEO of KC Global. She then said, “Our company is preparing to promote more artworks to the overseas market based on Pangyo’s IT infrastructure.”
KC Global, an AR-based art exhibition gallery app developer, is developing its art exhibiting platform “I Have Art in Me” for companies that want to do an in-house art exhibition, or the artists and artwork exhibitors who want to enter the global market. In the art platform “I Have Art in Me,” which can work as the “small museum that finds viewers,” viewers can enjoy the artworks with the AR technology. Also, when the artworks are delivered to galleries in other countries through the art platform, it makes it easy for Korean artists to make global entry, and it would be easy for creative works from other countries to be seen in Korea through the art exchange exhibitions.
Kim said, “COVID-19 caused hindrance in enjoying culture and art, but now with our platform, you can enjoy the artworks of both Korean and foreign artists without having to visit the exhibition sites with the AR technology, and we can even help activate the collaboration of artworks by these artists.”
“I Have Art in Me” can be used in corporate lobbies and idle spaces for the visitors and employees to enjoy the value of the artwork. This will bring comfort to tired mind and body, and even may improve the work efficiency of the employees by mental healing. Kim thought hard about the ways to share the power of healing by art with employees in Pangyo Technovalley working in IT sectors and other areas and thought of transforming the corporate space into art. She said, “We are now in the age of branding the space with artwork. If we use the art platform, you can increase your corporate image by adding brand value to the artwork, and you can use it not only for decorating the corporate space, but for branding as a selective space as well.”
Kim also said, “The development of IT technology creates an opportunity to broaden understanding and sympathy for artworks. The program in “I Have Art in Me” uses AR technology, but we can also use VR technology with the artwork to create new value, and we would later be able to use hologram technology as artwork.” To fulfill this challenge, KC Global has established a base in Pangyo Technovalley and is working closely with companies in the IT field.
KC Global is also planning to conduct a special exhibition at the in-house gallery of a buyer company located in Pangyo through the AR-based art exhibition platform “I Have Art in Me” from early next year.
