AVING News interviewed Shin Mi-jeo, the CEO of Yourfit, which participated in the MIK HOT SPOT (Made in Korea Online Exhibition) Local Economy Stimulating Project.

Please introduce your company briefly.

Hi. This is Shin Mi-jeo, the CEO of Yourfit, a smart customized beauty company based on customer data. Can we provide optimal skincare for each and every customer? This question was how Yourfit was born. No one has the same skin. It’s really true. Even your friend next to you or the sister has different skin.

But, we are using the same products we see on the ads or recommended by celebrities. Cosmetics are different from medicines, so you don’t feel the difference in a short period of time. But since we use cosmetics all the time, you will see the results as time passes.

Please describe the major products.

Yourfit by Whom Perfect Custom Ampoule Mask is a two-step home skincare product consisting of an exclusive custom ampoule and mask pack. One kit can be used three times, designed to be used for one week when used once every two days.

To design your own kit, you will conduct a skin diagnosis from the Yourfit website. Based on demographic indexes such as age and gender and basic skin data entered by customers, I can find out about the overall skin condition. Through this, according to the derived final results by presenting the first task for your skin, Yourfit algorithm recommends the customized ampoule and mask pack that best suits you.

What are your future plans?

Currently, we are continuing to advance customer skin diagnosis. We are creating a system so that customers can experience more sophisticated customized beauty care by subdividing the main factors that can affect the skin condition and reflecting it in the algorithm and applying the result to the product.

In the future, we are making efforts to build big data by steadily accumulating data on skin information and face size of global users. Through this, we plan to collaborate with beauty brands in the future by extracting significant data globally by countries and races.

Any last words you would like to say?

Women in their 30s and older probably have emptied a lot of cosmetic bottles so far. But, if you think that the changes to your skin was not worth the price, you might have used the wrong cosmetics, although there might be other reasons. I will try to grow as a smart beauty company that can predict skin according to many factors surrounding me and provide the best skin care.
