KOREA PACK Special & ICPI WEEK 2021 was held at KINTEX Goyang for four days from May 25 to 28. During the exhibition period, 34,000 people involved in the industry gathered, and the show ended successfully.

Hosted by Korea Packaging Machinery Association, Korea Integrated Logistics Association, PackNet, Science21, IU News, Kyongyon Exhibition Corp., and KY Expo, this exhibition is a B2B industry exhibition consisting of seven specialized exhibition halls covering packaging, logistics, and pharmaceutical/bio which experienced great changes and innovations due to COVID-19 pandemic, and product development, R&D, processing, packaging, and logistics and distribution for cosmetic industries. This year, 632 leading companies in each industry exhibited and exhibited advanced packaging automation, eco-friendly packaging, logistics robots, R&D analysis equipment, pharmaceutical/bio/cosmetics development products and advanced technologies in 2,000 exhibition booths. Also, 80 conferences and seminars, awards ceremony, networking forums and new product presentations, online government policy briefings, and video export consultations inviting overseas buyers were held during the exhibition, providing a variety of information on market trends and future visions.

Particularly, Kyongyon Exhibition Corp., which was the host of the exhibition, used its past experience of holding exhibitions during COVID and newly provided untact and digital services for the safety of participants and to cope with COVID-19 pandemic.

Among them, the online video export consultation jointly organized by the Korea International Trade Association and Kyongyon Exhibition Corp. used ZOOM and WeChat to communicate with 26 overseas buyers from 14 countries including Thailand, China, Japan, and India. A total of 98 consultations were held, with 1.5 million dollars worth of export consultation amount.

The online exhibition hall newly launched this year opened concurrently with the offline exhibition. It is still in service to help Korean companies suffering from slow business due to COVID pandemic to get in touch with Korean and overseas buyers. The online exhibition hall has Virtual Booth, Business Meeting, Web Conference, and Live relay corner, and non-face-to-face consultations between participating companies and Korean and foreign buyers and customer inquiry services are provided. The online exhibition hall is jointly developed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, KOTRA, Association of Korean Exhibition Industry, and Kyongyon Exhibition Corp.
